What is pattern recognition?

Pattern recognition is a branch of artificial intelligence and the research area that studies the operation and design of systems that recognize patterns in data.

The aim is to classify patterns of data either using knowledge already gained or by statistical information within the pattern.

The task of pattern recognition needs the following approach –
