Fuzzy Logic – its characteristics and application
Fuzzy logic is form of many valued logic or probabilistic logic that deals with reasoning that is approximate rather than fixed and exact is a superset of conventional boolean logic that has been extended to handle the concept of partial truth, truth values between ‘completely true’ and ‘completely false’.
Fuzzy logic characteristics
- Exact reasoning is viewed by fuzzy logic
- Everything is matter of degree
- Knowledge is interpreted as fuzzy constraints
- Inference is viewed as a process of propagation.
Fuzzy logic applications
- Control of Robots
- Control of car-engine
- Motor speed control system
- Planning of bus time table
- Control of automobiles
- Medicine technology
- Combination of fuzzy logic and neural nets.
